Congratulations to David Delzotto on his approval by the Ontario Fire Marshal as the new Fire Chief of the Shebandowan Volunteer Fire Department. David brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience on volunteer fire departments and will be instrumental in building a new fire team for the community.  David cannot do this on his own and we are actively recruiting new volunteers for the new team.  We cannot restore our Fire Department without a team of dedicated residents!

WE ARE RECRUITING FOR:

  • VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS: No previous experience is required. If you have the heart to help, we have a place for you.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM?

  • FREE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING: Receive high-quality firefighting and first-response training at no cost to you.
  • PROTECT YOUR HOME & NEIGHBOURS: Be the first line of defense for Shebandowan.
  • INSURANCE STABILITY: A functional local fire department helps keep property insurance available and affordable for everyone.
  • COMMUNITY PRIDE: Join a legacy of service and ensure Shebandowan remains a safe place to live and play.

“I’M INTERESTED, WHAT NEXT?”

You don’t need to be a hero; you just need to be a neighbor who cares. We need men and women from all walks of life to help rebuild this essential service.
