About the Shebandowan fire department

We are a tax based department that is funded through a Local Services Board that sets tax rates dependent on the needs of the fire department. We are governed under policies set in place by the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. We also receive compensation when our department responds to emergencies on our area highways and forests. Donations are always welcome.
